Individual coaching, training and mentoring - flexible for Personal Development Budgets

This is a simplified, lower budget, customised version of the New Manager Training programme. When organisations don't have budget for the full programme, or if the person has a limited personal development budget at their disposal, this allows us to select the most useful topics and work through those, to the budget and time available. It is geared to those who feel they have much to learn about management - even if they've been managers for years.

This can start from as little as £250 for both a preliminary assessment meeting to recommend materials and application, and a deep dive coaching / training follow up; more sessions will be possible with higher budgets.

As with the New Manager Training programme, there are a range of topics which people might want to focus on for the session/s; or there may have been recent feedback / incidents pointing to specific areas.

  • Managing teams – performance management, leadership, delegation, feedback, goal setting, coaching, psychological safety, team dynamics, difficult conversations, interviewing.

  • Managing self – communication, emotional intelligence, time management and prioritisation, wellbeing management

  • Managing managers – tailoring communications, presentation skills, stakeholder management, organisational awareness, levelling up.

  • Managing delivery – decision making, problem solving, planning, resource and budget management, change management, continuous improvement

  • Managing influence – strategic thinking, political awareness, sales / persuasion, innovation and creativity, leadership presence

The preliminary meeting will work out what to cover; the broad structure of the following session/s; and the self-study materials to recommend to the coachee.

The following meeting/s will work through the plan, alternating between training, consulting, mentoring and coaching as needed.

We will discuss the materials and how the coachee has applied them, and learnings / adaptations from this. Equally, however, we'll work on the more subtle side of management, using coaching to help them find an authentic, confident leadership style.

This  gives the manager not only the reassurance of theoretical knowledge, but also the support to best apply the information and to enact inner changes.

Note: This programme is for a single manager using their own learning budget.

If the company is willing to invest more in the manager, the 'New Manager Programme' is a more comprehensive and tranformational offering.

If the company has several managers who want to improve their management skills, see the ‘Management cohort upskill programme’.
